Rodokanakis Rediscovered 1908-2008 Festival
Organization/production: “ohi pezoume” performing arts company in collaboration with Maria Diamanti, a Benaki Museum scholar, and Nikos Sarafianos, a scholar-writer, in the framework of the performance “To Vyssini Triantafyllo [The Crimson Rose]”, July-September, 2008.
Description: An anniversary performance festival and lectures on the 100 years since the first reading of the play which established Platon Rodokanakis as the most representative aesthetic writer in Greek literature. There were 30 performances in five different locations associated with the interesting yet forgotten writer:

Beyond performances, the company also participates in related activities which promote a wider dialogue on theatrical issues between artists and academics of diverse backgrounds. Lecture: “City and Soul [Poli kai Psyhi]: A tour of the urban environment and the human relations it creates”.
Organization/production: Fournos Theatre in the framework of the festival ‘the environment begins with me’, October 2008.
Description: the “ohi pezoume” performing arts company was invited by Fournos Theatre to participate in its environmental festival. Aris Asproulis, the company’s sociologist, gave a lecture on the impact of social environment on natural environment as a result of human relations. The lecture was based on philosopher Georg Simmel’s essay “The Metropolis and Mental Life”.
